Do you remember your first time riding a bike? Do you remember the feeling of the wind streaming through your hair. Do you remember how you moved faster than you ever had in your life? Do you remember the exhilaration? The excitement? The freedom?
With your donation, we can share that same exhilaration and freedom with 100 children as they learn to ride and are gifted their very first bike!
In partnership with El Nido Family Centers, The Kaizen Outreach Team is raising money to host a bicycle-lesson and gifting event for underprivileged children in the Los Angeles area. At a modest sum of $150 per sponsored child, we are teaching these kids how to ride a bike and then surprising them with ownership of their very own bike, helmet, and lock. While we'd love for you to sponsor a child, any donation will make an impact. Every dollar donated will go directly to the purchase of bike-riding equipment, refreshments, or supplies for the event itself. All financial contributions will be managed directly by El Nido Family Centers.
If you are unable to contribute financially, we would appreciate your time as a volunteer! We are looking for 40 volunteers to support creating unforgettable moments for the participants and their families. To volunteer, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Henry Valdez at (949) [phone redacted].
El Nido Family Centers' vision is to provide the resources and support for all young people to attain their full potential by empowering families in low-income communities of Los Angeles County to break the cycle of poverty, child abuse, violence, academic failure, and teen pregnancy through outstanding educational, youth development, health and therapeutic services.
