Kiet’s First Album, 1292!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Kiet Tai Cao and I am an artist based in New York City. I’m originally from Reno, NV and moved out to NYC 8 years ago. For the past few years I have dedicated my artistry to theater and acting on film. I studied Music in College and I am making my first album!

 

This project is a 7 song concept album dedicated to my family and my childhood home. During the long and tough year of 2020, my family had to make several difficult decisions. Because of my Mom’s age, we thought it was best for her to retire and for us to sell my childhood home. We didn’t want her to be alone during the pandemic so we had her move in with my sister. In the early stages of us selling the house, I was hopeful. Now that time has passed, I’ve expressed my mourning through music.

 

I am learning how to record, edit, master, and produce most of this album all by myself. That means I need a new computer. :(  With your help, I will be using most of the money to purchase a new MacBook Pro. Currently, my iMac from 2013 is on its last legs (each program I launch takes 10-15 min to load up… ahhhh!). The rest of the money will be going towards paying a few artists to help me with editing and for funds to upload the songs on streaming services.
