2019 AKA Debutante Coterie

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters, 

     I am Kaiya LaRue and I have been selected to participate in the 2018-2019 Blooming in June Debutante Coterie hosted by the Psi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. This fundraising program provides selected young ladies with leadership workshops, cultural enrichment, and community service. These activities will help prepare me for college and my future career as a Mechanical Engineer. As a debutante participant any money that I raise will be awarded to me in the form of a scholarship will be used towards my college tuition. 

     I am currently a high school senior with a 4.2 GPA and I will graduate May 28, 2019. I participate in many of my school clubs, which include Rags For Wags, Students for Arnold Palmer, and Project 7. I am also a member of my school's orchestra program and I was recently inducted into the Tri-M Music Honors Society. I am an active member of my church, where I participate in the youth program and volunteer for community events. It is my goal to attend a four year university or college beginning in the Fall of 2019.
