Who are we?
Greetings!
We are partnering together for a 2015 mercy mission to bring aid to the poor village of Ca-ira in the town of Leogane in Haiti.

The Shepherd’s House (TSH ) is a local Christian Church in Woburn, MA which is part of the National Foursquare Association of Christian Churches. We have been serving our Middlesex community since August 2006.
Global Aid Network (GAIN ) is a Christian humanitarian organization that expresses the love of Jesus Christ in the toughest places on earth by relieving suffering and restoring dignity. They seek to fulfill their calling by addressing the most basic physical needs of people: water, food, health, and compassion.
Our youth team from TSH will be working on some small building projects within the school grounds which will result in the construction of a kindergarten school for their local orphanage. Additionally, there will be activities planned for the children of the orphanage as a form of outreach and support for the needy community. This is designed to also help our youth experience life outside the United States, and realize that they are part of a global community.

What are we doing?
We are fortunate to have a mix of projects to contribute to during our visit.
Primarily our team will be working with the orphanage children. We have prepared programming to teach, connect, and entertain the orphanage children during their summer months. Our goal is to build relationships.
Here they are, anticipating our arrival:

In addition, construction has begun. After completing the construction of their new dormitories, the GAIN team has begun construction of a new kindergarten facility.
The team has been assembled. The foundation has been set. We are arriving just in time to finalize the construction and will lend a hand with painting and getting the new facility ready for the eager students to begin learning.

ALL hands are on deck.

Why is your support important?
We believe that there is power in community. We have the opportunity and ability to sow our time to show compassion and help rebuild an orphanage in need. The children of the orphanage range from ages 5 to 18 years and have experienced a lifestyle that most of us could never fathom.
They need a community of people who recognize that every life is precious. Our team recognizes just that. We understand that we currently can't satisfy every need, but we can and are prepared to satisfy their need for people who care, love, and value them.
We can make a difference. Why? Because we can. Because it matters. Because they matter.

“Remember…for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Cor.9:7b-8) The effect of your generous giving will extend beyond the Shepherd’s House – not only will it bless our local community; it also bless some communities around our world (Israel, India, Haiti, Latvia, Guatemala, etc) causing widespread prayer and praise to be offered on your behalf (2 Cor.9:6-15).

What we do matters.
Every small simple effort has the opportunity to yield extraordinary results.
We need partners. You can help us by spreading the word and submitting any monetary contribution to get us closer to our goal.
We need your financial support to ensure that we deliver excellence.
Thank you.
Sincerely, The Shepherd's House KCY 2015 Haiti Missions Team:
