Women's Campaign School at Yale
Hello Family and Friends,
As most of you are aware, I played an active role for the last 18 months during the presidential campaign. I have become more involved in politics, within my community as well as social activism. This summer I will be expanding my knowledge and skills through a training program for women at Yale University.
I am pleased to announce that I have been accepted to the 2017 Class at the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University. (WCSYALE)
The admissions process for WCSYale was extremely competitive with more than 500 applicants this year and only 80 candidates chosen.
WCSYale is a prestigious non- partisan, issue neutral leadership training program whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women elected and appointed to public office, with aspirations to run political campaigns, as well as advance their careers in public service in the United States and around the Globe.
The 2017 class will take place this summer at Yale Law School in New Haven, Connecticut.
I have been challenged to raise or exceed a total of $2,800 which will cover partial cost of the training and other expenses. This is where I get to show my fundraising skills and I am eager and counting on your support.
This opportunity will allow me to build upon my experience as a community advocate and the ability to use policy to change the world. Please help me impact the lives of many by creating sustainable initiatives for immigrants ,uplifting and empowering other women and our youth while I further my career in public policy/service.
Many of you have become mentors to me over the years, I could not have applied to this program without the support of family and friends.
Your generous support will help me attain one of my goals in 2017 and means the world to me.
