Justice for Margaux— 7 Years of Illegal Evictions

For the past 7 years, I’ve been fighting to survive in a broken system that keeps displacing me.

Leaving me unable to secure stable housing

—AGAIN— as it’s nearly impossible here due to multiple wrongful evictions on my record. Every time I am left with no options and forced to rely on Airbnbs as temporary shelter just to keep a roof over my head.

Since November 2018, I’ve been illegally evicted from nearly every place I’ve rented — most of them for no cause at all. Every time I start to rebuild, regain stability, another landlord uses a legal loophole to push me out. Not because I’m a bad tenant, not because I don’t pay rent or violate leases — but because the system here fails to enforce tenant, constitutional or civil rights at all.

Each time, I’m left with no choice but to spend thousands just to survive — while watching everything I’ve worked for disappear: my stability, my income, my safety, my belongings, my peace.

It’s financially devastating, emotionally paralyzing, and it’s dismantling my life.

I need help.

No one can survive this kind of injustice alone. I need support staying temporarily housed, keeping my stored belongings from being sold, and having a real chance to move forward while navigating this legally.
