Justice for Anthony Marquis Franklin

On January 15, 2023, in Austin, Texas, Anthony Marquis Franklin, a 30-year-old black man was shot and killed by Officers Kelby Radford, Ryan Rawlins and Jacob Bowman with the Austin Police Department (APD).

The video makes it absolutely clear. Anthony Franklin was on the ground crouched in the fetal position not posing a threat to the officers or others when these officers opened fire, shooting him in the back and killing him. In other words, while most of us were celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday, Anthony Franklin was taking his last breaths because these officers thought they were gunslingers instead of peace officers. Austin may be in Texas, but it’s not the Wild West and you don’t get to appoint yourself judge, jury and executioner whenever you want.

The Family of Anthony Franklin needs assistance in paying for his funeral and burial expenses and travel expenses for his minor children to attend his funeral. Thank you in advance and please pray for us!
