Ma’Nyla is our bright, loving little girl who has always brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. Her life changed in an instant due to a spinal cord injury caused by medical negligence. While we continue to seek answers and justice, our focus is now on her survival and recovery. The ICU has become her home for weeks, and she remains on a ventilator because her lungs are too weak to handle even the smallest infections. Simple illnesses, like a cold, have become life-threatening due to the severe curve in her spine, making every breath a battle. What started as a simple cold quickly became life-threatening because of the spinal cord injury she sustained from medical negligence. The injury caused a severe curve in her spine, which now weakens her lungs and makes even minor illnesses dangerous. Every day, Ma’Nyla battles to breathe while we hold onto faith and surround her with love.
