Love for Laura

Laura was a victim of a violent, random attack while dog sitting at her son's apartment. An intruder had broken into the apartment before Laura arrived. Laura had fallen asleep on the couch only a few minutes after arriving to the apartment. Laura had awoken to the intruder standing before her wearing a Scream mask. The attacker stabbed Laura 39 times total, including multiple throat slits. She sustained stab wounds to her heart, lungs, stomach, intestines, 2 main arteries and head. She was beaten with a bat and her arm was broken requiring a plate and screws to repair it.

Laura's survival is nothing short of a miracle, and we are lucky to have her here with us today. Right now, she needs our support. She has lost her job and health insurance, her home, and all financial income.

Laura has a long road ahead with many doctor appointments to see specialists for nearly every vital organ system that has been damaged due to the attack. Along with physical damage, Laura is going to need help with psychological damage and therapy appointments. 100% of this cost will have to be out of pocket since her health insurance was tied to the employer.
