Attorney Fees for Amanda

On Tuesday, New York City Black Lives Matter activist Amanda was arrested while participating in an action in solidarity with ICE detainees at the Bergen County Jail. 

Sheriffs brutally arrested Amanda just moments after she arrived and charged her with several ridiculous accusations thatcould result in incarceration. 

On Wednesday morning, the state filed a motion to detain Amanda until her next hearing-likely this Monday or Tuesday. The court is denying her a public defender so we need to raise $4,000 to cover her pre-trial and try to ensure her charges are dropped and she is released. 

Amanda is an incredible activist, community supporter, friend, mother, and comrade. 

Bergen County, as we have seen previously is attempting to make an example out of Amanda and we must fight for her freedom and get her released!
