Hi everyone, my name is Margie Elizabeth Arroyo. My father, Julio Alfonso Arroyo Bada died on April 18, 2020, as a result of COVID-19. He was in a nursing home and was placed under quarantine. For almost two months, we were not able to see or speak with him. We used to speak with him over the phone every day. He got infected in the nursing home, and we didn’t know anything until he became very sick and couldn’t call us. The last time I spoke with him, he was unable to breathe, and his voice felt very weak. His last words to me were I love you my daughter. After that, he was transferred to the hospital and we never spoke again. Oh, how I so wanted him to live! My father was a man full of life, happy, and strong. I knew he didn’t want to die and didn’t deserve to die alone without anybody around him. The pain of his loss is incredibly hard to deal with. Words cannot express how sad we are to lose him, so suddenly and so quickly. Unfortunately, with the current situation we are all experiencing, we do not have to money to do a proper burial for my father. Therefore, I am humbly asking my family and friends to please help us cover the funeral and burial expenses. We lost some who is extremely important to us. My father was very much loved by all his children, nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends. I will be eternally grateful for your generosity!
