Please consider supporting our friend and colleague Julia Simpson!!!!  Many are aware of Julia’s current battle with cancer, but her struggles date back to 2009.  Below is a brief timeline of Julia’s medical challenges:

In 2009, Julia underwent five reconstructive surgeries for a severe dog bite to the face.  

In 2010, Julia was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She underwent chemo, radiation, and two lumpectomies. 

In May 2015, Julia underwent an emergency hysterectomy after collapsing in severe abdominal pain.  Ironically, Julia was actually at the hospital for a breast cancer follow-up when she collapsed.   Julia was diagnosed with uterine leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.  After the emergency surgery, Julia was prescribed two different forms of chemotherapy – neither of which were effective – and the tumors grew once again inside her abdomen.

In May 2016, Julia underwent a traumatic 8 hour surgery to remove 7  tumors from her abdomen.  She remained at the hospital for 14 days.

Julia will begin chemotherapy in the coming weeks.   

 Although insurance covered some of the costs associated with the medical procedures, medications and hospitalizations, it did not cover all of it.  Julia is finding herself in a challenging financial situation and any assistance you can provide is appreciated.   Let's take some of Julia's financial burdens off of her plate so she can direct her energy on healing and fighting this monster!!!
