This is a small video summary of the upcoming explanation
I’m JuanSe, we met travelling around Colombia or South America, I’m sure you have great memories of the time we spent together because I certainly have them.
I want to tell you my COVID-19 Story, but before you continue, I must say that thankfully I’m doing well and my family as well, but, I would like to ask for your help even though I know there are lots of more charitable causes to support. To summarise the following text, I want to continue pursuing my dream and still be able to help at home.
Over the 3 years that I worked for Tucan Travel I had a clear goal to save as much as I could to be able to return to university and complete higher degree in arts management since my background is in Filmmaking. We might have talked about it as many of you helped me in the process to apply to universities. My dream has been to go to Canada to pursue a postgraduate study, because I know it will allow me to have a better future while being close to my parents in Colombia who are getting older.
Thanks to the generosity of your tips and my savings I decided last year that I would stop working in Tucan to start my adventure studying in Toronto.I had enough savings to fully focus on studying rather than being worried about money. I was accepted to Humber College where I applied for a post graduate program in Arts Administration and Cultural Management
At the beginning of the year I decided I would finish my last tour in late march to be able to spend some months saying goodbye to friends and family and to travel to Toronto in July… Little I knew that my plans were to change completely (as I’m sure yours did as well)
Since March, when the world pandemic started to change our realties, I’ve been financially supporting my mom and brother because they couldn’t continue working, off course as you know the tourism industry received a big hit and stopped working too which was very difficult for us who made a living out of the adventures of travelling around the world. Luckily, I have my bachelors in Film production and I was able to find a job in July where I edited videos of teachers for their classes to be seen in remote areas of Colombia. It was a very rewarding job, but far from well paid, just enough to make a living and support my mom and brother. Unfortunately, my contract finished in November with the end of the school year, forcing me use what was left from my savings.
Despite not being able to go abroad, I decided to pursue my dream of studying, which due to the lockdown, I had to began the first semester online from Colombia. It was a bold decision but I knew life had to continue … I just finished this first semester and I did great. I’ll do what it takes to graduate, because I know these will help me to provide my love ones a better future.
Unfortunately, I have used most of my savings because my family hasn’t find a job since march and to be honest, I don’t want my mom to be exposed to the virus as she is a person at high risk. I’m more than happy to support my family because they are my everything and I wouldn’t forgive myself if my mom got sick because she exposed herself just to pay the bills.
With the money I made this year editing and with all the college expenses I won’t be able to continue studying if I don’t ask for help, its awful to find yourself in this position, but as wel,l I know I have met people who will help me happily if they can as they know me and how passionate I’m about chasing my dreams.
I’m asking you for a donation to help me continue studying and supporting my family, I don’t want to stop studying and I know my stubborn family wouldn’t allow me either as they are already feeling bad for using my savings

My goal is to collect as much as I can to cover the tuition expenses, that way I can use the remaining of my savings to help at home and to focus as much as I can studying which was my original plan
