Dear Friends, Family and Potential Donors,

My name is Tatyana and I (alongside Joyce's brother, Dan and friends Carrie, Colleen and Liz) am fundraising for our cherished friend Joyce and her beautiful family during their desperate time of need.

Let me start by saying that to know Joyce is to know the true meaning of a pure heart, unconditional love, profound values and the warmth and understanding of an amazing friend, wife and mother. Joyce has always been nothing less than a ray of sunshine in the lives of anyone she meets and during this dark time in her life I am asking you to send some of that light back her way in form of supporting this fundraising effort.

Joyce has not had an easy life (although she'd never show any resentment or bitterness for the cards she's been dealt). When I first met her in 2010 she just entered remission for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma; a cancer she battled via chemo & radiation. Years later, in 2023, Joyce was sadly diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) which she fought tooth and nail while also caring for her newborn baby girl, Hannah; the already exhausting experience of being a new mother was overshadowed and crushed by the diagnosis, but Joyce persevered. After more chemo and a double mastectomy, we finally celebrated Joyce beating breast cancer, only to learn that the cancer has metastasized to other parts of her body including bones and lymph nodes, only a few short months after treatments have ended.

It is impossible to imagine the agony, pain and heartbreak Joyce and her husband Greg are experiencing right now as they begin another ruthless cycle of treatments for this incredibly painful cancer, instead of planning Summer activities with their baby girl. I am asking you to please donate to this fundraiser to cover any treatment costs, to allow Greg to take time away from work in caring for Joyce and baby Hannah, and to allow this young family to have funds to cover any additional necessary expenses without draining their life savings.
