Hello Friends and Family,
I have gone back and forth within myself on whether or not post such an "event" . I have prayed long and hard and have FINALLY put my pride to side for this is not about ME.
Jovani's passion for Music Arts has always been and will continue to be a major part of his life journey. Jovani has been a song bird since he was in diapers; he was born to do "THIS"! No vocal lessons, self taught-- guided and encourged by family and friends! Thank you all! Also, 3 AMAZING women (TEACHERS) that I owe sincere heartfelt thanks to: Sherri Fenwick (retired music teacher EMS), Sara Nelson(music teacher GMHS) and Lisa Collins(piano accompniast/biology teacher GMHS). I appreciate all that you ladies have done and continue to do not only for my child, but for all of our children.
Earlier today I posted a snap shot via Instagram and Facebook of a HUGE milestone for my eldest son. Jovani has been selected as a Finalist for the 2016 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. This is truly an opportunity of a lifetime and would be an awesome addition to his singing/performance resume to further his music career. Not to mention an awesome performance to close his High School Career- Class of 2016!
Unfortunately, I am unable to financially support this 5 day trip to NYC on my own. This is where I am asking that all of my friends and family consider donating to help get him there! The total cost for him to participate is $1,799.00. I have already placed a $200.00 deposit to secure his spot as well as applying for scholarships provided for this event.
