My Dad's Cancer treatment fund

In November of this year (2017), my family received the devastating news which drastically changed our lives- my father (Jose Agustin Vargas) was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.
Multiple myeloma is a unique cancer of plasma cells that attacks and destroys bone.
Today my father is unable to move, lied in a bed with kidney failure, intense bone pain, with multiple bone lesions of skull, sternum, spine, including spontaneous fractures of ribs.
Everything has changed so fast in our lives and we were not prepared to assume all that this disease brings.
He is currently under radiation therapy and high doses of steroids as palliative treatment for pain, but We need to start chemotherapy as soon as possible and we do not have the financial resources to do so.
My father cannot work now and unfortunately he does not have medical insurance to covers the treatment that will save his life, The hospital can no longer cover the expenses, and my family does not have much economic resources.
My mother has to take care of him and even though I have 16 years old, I feel that I have to do something by my own to help.
I have not missed one day without visiting my dad at the hospital and encourage him to move forward, for me, for my mother and my brothers, he has to fight and I’m willing to fight besides him.
This is the reason why I decide to do this fundraising page, to help to get the resources to give him the proper treatment that he needs.
We sincerely appreciate any and every bit of help that we receive. With your donations we will be covering the cost of chemotherapy in the first instance, medicines and medical supplies that may be needed.

En noviembre de este año (2017), mi familia recibió una noticia devastadora que cambió drásticamente nuestras vidas: a mi padre(Jose Agustin Vargas) le diagnosticaron Mieloma múltiple.
El mieloma múltiple es un cáncer único de células plasmáticas que ataca y destruye el hueso.
Hoy mi padre no puede moverse, está acostado en una cama con insuficiencia renal, intenso dolor de huesos, con fracturas espontáneas en las costillas, la columna vertebral, el esternón y el cráneo.
Todo ha cambiado tan rápido en nuestras vidas y no estábamos preparados para asumir todo lo que trae esta enfermedad.
Actualmente se encuentra bajo radioterapia y altas dosis de esteroides como tratamiento paliativo para el dolor y debemos comenzar la quimioterapia lo antes posible, pero no tenemos los recursos financieros para hacerlo.
Mi padre no puede trabajar ahora y lamentablemente no tiene seguro médico para cubrir el tratamiento que le salvará la vida. El hospital ya no puede cubrir los gastos y mi familia no tiene muchos recursos económicos.
Mi madre tiene que cuidarlo y aunque tengo 16 años, siento que tengo que hacer algo por mí misma para ayudar.
No me he perdido un día sin visitar a mi padre en el hospital y alentarlo a seguir adelante, por mí, por mi madre y mis hermanos, él tiene que luchar y estoy dispuesta a luchar junto a él. Esta es la razón por la que decido hacer esta página de recaudación de fondos, para ayudar a obtener los recursos para darle el tratamiento adecuado que necesita.
