Jonny Day ❤️ taken too soon

Hi, my name is Tereza & I’m trying to help raise funds for Jonny Day’s beloved family to help go towards his funeral and memorial.

We sadly lost Jonny to a horrific road traffic incident on Valentine’s Eve.

Jonny was taken too soon, in a horrific manner, from his penguin partner, son, brothers, mum & friends hearts are broken & wants to give him the special & final ‘good night, sleep tight’ he deserves.

Jonny became special to everyone he met, he is just the nicest, kindest, gentlest, funniest, most thoughtful person & the world has lost a beautiful, inside & out human.

If you had Jonny if your life, you were lucky, he would brighten your day. Jonny was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone & he is going to be sorely missed. Jonny was taken from this world too soon at just 32yrs old.

Jonny went out on the 13th February in the evening, he spoke to his partner & said he was on his way home at 10.30pm, as the time passed & he didn’t arrive home, his partner went out looking for him, he wasn’t answering his phone, which was very unlike him, he would never want to worry her. In the early hours of valentines, she reported him missing to the police, at 8.30am, her door knocked & her whole world came crashing down around her… then she had to let his son & family know the tragic news, knowing she would be changing their world…

Jonny’s partner is currently being supported through this horrible ordeal by all her friends, family, loved ones & family liaison officers.

We are now starting to consider the next stages, such as his funeral & memorial.

Jonny didn’t like to be cold & didn’t like the creepy crawlies, so the family have decided on a cremation. Jonny’s favourite place to visit was Ireland & his partner would love to travel there, to scatter his ashes, they were planning on taking a trip back there this year- his partner would still like to take him, the family would also like to keep some of the ashes to make into keepsakes for those closest.

If you knew & loved Jonny or would just to help the family towards the financial implications of the funeral, I know it would be hugely appreciated.

All funds will go towards the cremation, memorial, wake & scattering of Jonny’s ashes.

Money won’t bring Jonny back or make things any better for the family but it will help ease the financial burden of picking up the pieces- no matter how big or small.

A funeral date hasn’t been confirmed yet & there will be an update with a confirmed date/time, all friends, family of Jonny are welcome. The family would like this day to remembered as a celebration of Jonny’s life.

The family have requested that people do not bring flowers to the funeral, that there will be flowers arranged by the family only.
