Every Drop Counts!

Tax deductible
Hello, I’m Jack Tufaro. Last year, a family member was diagnosed with Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia (WM), a type of lymphoma.  WM occurs when WM Cells grow in the body, particularly in the bone marrow. They overcrowd the normal cells in bone marrow, resulting in a shortage of red blood cells, which can make you tired. However, it can also result in a decreasing amount of white blood cells and platelets. While white blood cells are a crucial part of your immune system and fight infections and viruses, platelets help you stop bleeding by making clots. If your body has trouble fighting infections and viruses, and it’s also harder for cuts to clot, it becomes really easy to get infections. WM inflicts much pain. This disease can make you vulnerable to other lymphomas such as Multiple Myeloma and Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. This cancer is treatable, but not curable. However, if everybody were to donate just a few dollars to this cause, scientists would have enough to conduct very valuable research, and maybe even cure WM. Imagine that the donation collection is a bucket being filled with water. Every drop counts.

All donations will go to the International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF).  You can learn more about it here.

You can also learn more about advances in research that will one day lead to a cure here.

As noted above, if you donate $10 or more, you'll receive a mobile phone case wallet!  To receive it, please send your mailing address to: [email redacted]
