Join a fun movement to bring more Comedy and Art to Chicago’s Lakeview Neighborhood by helping an exciting new comedy venue in Chicago get to the finish line!

With the help and support of some amazing friends, family members, and an amazing community, the HOME Comedy Theater has been working tirelessly for over two years to open a new comedy venue in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood that will feature a 75+ seat theater, two bars, a kitchen, and a training center!

Led by founder and owner Cesar Jaime, this new theater would be the first Latino-owned major comedy venue in the city Chicago and will feature some of the most influential instructors and performers in the field of improvisation of the past 30-plus years.

Although we knew that opening a new small business would not be easy, we didn't anticipate some of the major unexpected setbacks that were out of our control. ,However, despite all that, we happy to share that we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and we’d love your support getting there.

“How close are you?”

Our 75+ seat theater -complete with its own bar-, is ready and waiting for you to experience its vibe! (See before and after images).

Our front bar, featuring one of the coolest old-school, art-deco, rod-lit back bars in Chicago, has been refinished and repaired and just needs a little more work before it’s ready for final inspections.

Our kitchen needs some small work completed as well and is also almost ready for final inspections.

“Final Inspections?”

Yes, that’s the last step in this long process; to have the city come out to inspect all the work they have asked us to do before they give us our licenses to operate, sell food and drinks, and finally officially open our doors!

Those that have stepped into the building (students, guests, neighbors, contractors, etc) have been very impressed with the space, the vibe, our goals, our progress, and are excited to see us get to the finish line.

Getting to the Finish Line

This is where (hopefully) YOU come in!

We’re extremely close to completing all the tasks required by the city in order to open, and with your help we can get there sooner.

“How Can I Help and How Would My Donation Be Used?”

Any donation by you or that would come as a result of you sharing this fundraiser would be used primarily to complete the last few remaining construction tasks required by the city. Beyond that, your donation would be hugely instrumental in helping us build a small reserve for the operational costs that will come as soon as we are officially open.

In short, any donation, sharing of the fundraiser, or even just good vibes would be greatly appreciated and instrumental in the building of an amazing community that you can be a part of from the ground up.

We understand that you have many choices when deciding where to direct your generosity, and we would be deeply grateful if you would consider supporting a new place meant to create and foster art and generate laughs for everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and we will look forward to having you visit us soon!
