Three years ago tragedy struck this young couples family. Dear friends of mine, Collin, Lindsey and their 10 week old son Connor were catapulted into a parents worst nightmare. Initially, this family took their son to the hospital and he was diagnosed with breath holding spells and Connor was sent home. After being home, the family thought this was just a hurdle they would have to get through, and together that’s what they planned to do. However, approximately 12 hours later, Connor was seizing and 911 was called.

 

Here is where the nightmare began. Due to lack of a reason or explanation as to the cause of what happened, the Drs accused them of harming their son. This left Lindsey and her husband being accused of a very serious crime. They said Connor must have been abused based on the images that they took and saw.

 

Even though they have retained Doctors and medical experts to explain that what happened to Connor was trauma from birth and even though the hospital accusing this family failed to request all of Connor’s medical history from his birth, the system has still pushed these last three years to convict someone who is innocent. This has put her entire family in a financial set back fighting for their innocence and their beautiful son Connor.

 

Lindsey has too much pride to ask others for help, even when she is in need, but she deserves this help, this family deserves this help and most of all Connor deserves this help. Three years of their lives have been spent fighting this and giving their everything to Connor. Any contribution will be used towards her sons medical necessities that insurance does not cover, court/attorney fees fighting this injustice, and even to help them put a simple meal on the table when she is pushing through to her next pay check.

 

I no longer want them to feel alone or that they have to continue to struggle. If you find it in your heart to help her and her family, even the smallest donation is a blessing.
