Hi, I'm Joshua Garson, and I'm rallying support for the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) by running the Newport Rhode Races Marathon on Saturday, April 18th, in Newport, Rhode Island!
I'm a senior at Middlebury College studying Economics with a minor in History. Home for me is Buffalo, NY. During my time in college, I completed a 140 lb weight loss journey. My story is linked here if you would like to read more. This was only possible with the support of my amazing family and friends, and it has motivated me to give back by raising awareness for those affected by obesity.
Partnering with the OAC means a lot to me because of the work this incredible organization does to help people affected by obesity. This includes improving access to educational materials, advocating for more inclusive healthcare plans, and reducing stigma to support individuals on their health journey.
More on the OAC:
The OAC is dedicated to elevating and empowering those affected by obesity through education, advocacy, and support. Together, we can help individuals and families find the resources they need to lead healthier lives.
Your donations will directly impact the OAC's vital work, including:
- Providing educational resources and tools to individuals seeking to understand and manage their health.
- Advocating for policies that promote better healthcare access and support for those affected by obesity.
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us create a community that supports and uplifts one another. Please consider donating to this important cause and help make a difference in the lives of many. Thank you!
