Memorial Fund for John Fejeran Sr

John Raymond Meno Fejeran Sr, age 65, passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife, Rosemarie and surrounded by his 2 daughters, Natasha and Janelle, and son, John Raymond, on November 1, 2020.
John, affectionately known as "Johnny" was born on August 17, 1955 in Inarajan on the beautiful island of Guam. He was the son of Juan Afaisen Fejeran and Enriqueta Meno Fejeran, and fell in line as third youngest of 8 children. From a very young age, Johnny developed a passion for his Chamorro culture. Staying rooted in his heritage became his foundation and carried into daily rhythms of his life. In his corporate position, Johnny worked in telecommunications for 35 years and spent the last 20 years of his career at Scripps Health in La Jolla.
In 1995, Johnny founded "Foundation for Chamorro, Arts, Crafts, Artifacts & Education." This venture has been carried on for the past 25 years together with his 7 siblings. Johnny's display quickly became a staple exhibition at all Pacific Islander events in San Diego and all Chamorro events in Southern CA.

Because of his dedication to his craft, in 2016 he was honored to be chosen as the Diaspora as a Guam Delegate in Literary Arts at the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam, but unfortunately due to his health challenges, he was unable to attend the festivities. However, in 2017, Johnny was able to spend 6 months in Guam before returning back to San Diego, refreshed and revived to serve his community with rich education and awareness, bringing the islands of Guam to the mainland.
Family was everything to Johnny. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 41 years of marriage. Johnny was completely generous with his time and resources. He was the type of man that would show up before you got a chance to ask him to. He will be remembered as a jokester that loved fishing, playing ukulele, cooking, going to the movies and especially spending time and being “Papa” to his 4 grandchildren Gjali, Kolu, Gyonne and Gioe. They were the light of his life and brought immense joy during the final months.
Our family would like to thank everyone for their endless support and prayers. We are deeply saddened to lose our Rock but have great hope knowing he is with Jesus living in eternal life.

*Family and friends are invited to attend his Viewing and Celebration of Life gatherings on Nov 11th and 12th to honor and memorialize an extraordinary man that was a true pillar and leader in this community. Information can be found through Glen Abbey website by clicking HERE
