Hi, I am Sharon Shaw-Flores. John has worked for my real estate company as a Realtor for 5 years, but more importantly, I have had the honor of being John's friend, and what an amazing friend he is. Those of you who know John know of his gruff exterior but he is truly a teddy bear.  John is the very PROUD father and grandfather of Monique and Sophia. They are the lights of his life. John's traveled some tough roads in his life (prior to cancer) but he worked hard and overcame. John was grateful for all the help and support he received during those difficult times so he spent a lot of time giving back to others. John was there for whoever needed him, being loyal was one of his best traits. I was blessed enough to have John's loyalty, support and friendship.

John is battling cancer and his remaining time is limited. I started this fund hoping to help relieve some of the financial stress that comes along with this horrible disease and his after life costs.

John's cancer started off about a year ago as stage IV nasal pharyngeal. At that point he was given 9 months to live. He has made it a whole year, but the cancer continued to spread to his liver and bone. Most recently, the cancer has spread to his pancreas and has engulfed his entire liver. The liver is no longer functioning and John now has ascites.

Over the past year John has been strong and has fought the battle with all he has. We can help by hopefully raising some monies for him and his family, so they have a little less stress to deal with. His battle is coming to an end and he is now at home in the care of his family until hospice arrives on Saturday.

For anyone who knows John, you know he is giving, loving, and the most accepting/non-judgmental person each of us have ever known. Any donation you can give, no matter how small, would be very helpful to have some of the financial burden lifted. It would mean so much to John and his family if you could offer any support during this difficult time.
