John and Amanda Norcott, they are FAMILY too!

If you are seeing this fundraiser, then you are probably in someway considered “family” by these two amazing people, Amanda and John Norcott. Whether they have helped you reach your fitness goals or just made you feel good as a person, you know they have the biggest hearts for everyone that walks into their gym and their lives.

Right now, they have had a lot dropped on their plates. Most of you probably know that John recently faced a back injury from a jet skiing trip during a recent getaway. He is facing surgery and a long recovery time ahead.

If you know John, you know it takes a lot to bring him down. Coming home from the ER with a back brace, a walker and months of rehab ahead brought him to a dead stop. Not to mention having to return to the ER several more times to get the pain under control. And to make things worse, he has again had to return to the ER two more times due to an underlying kidney infection.

Thank goodness he has Amanda. She is his rock. But she has her limits as well. Caring for John while still transitioning to a new company at work and trying to run Home Gym has taken a toll on her. She wants to be there for everyone and forgets to care for herself. She is tired and feels defeated. She wants her husband to recover and her future dreams to be set back on track, but sometimes even thinking about all that is too much.

I have lost count of the ER visits at this point. While they have insurance through John’s job at the school district, let’s face it, we all know that insurance doesn’t cover everything. They have missed many days of work and have also been forced to shut down the gym to take care of themselves.

What I am asking of all of you is to consider donating what you can. I know times are tough right now for everyone, but even just $5 can add up over time.
