This GoFundMe page is dedicated to John Castillo and all proceeds will go directly to his wife Jennifer Castillo and kids. These funds will help to cover funeral costs and hopefully if we meet the goal, to help his wife and kids in the upcoming months. 

John Castillo was born on August 11, 1978 in Miami, FL. He was 38 years old and was taken from us way too soon. He graduated from G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School from the Class of 1996. He also attended Florida International University.

Those that knew John, knew what a great guy he was, a person full of laughter who truly enjoyed life. He loved skate-boarding, and being around his family. 

John met the love of his life, Jennifer, and they were married Dec. 10, 2005. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Sophia (9 yrs. old) and Sebastian (4 yrs. old). Life was truly wonderful for this family man.

He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, cousin and friend, definitely "one of a kind, who showed unconditional love to all, willing to go the extra mile."  His wife and children were his life, he made Jennifer "a better person".  He was very active in his kid's lives and in their school activities, even earning "the #1 Dad Award" at his kid’s school.

During the first week in Jan. 2017, John had experienced an accident at work, resulting in major injuries which required immediate attention.  Due to some unforeseen complications, he passed unexpectedly on Jan. 16, 2017.

This is such a shock to his family, as John was the picture of good health.  They are faced with the unimaginable task of planning his funeral arrangements.  While this is a daunting task for anyone, it is extremely hard for his young widow, Jennifer. 

The funeral arrangements are being made as this is written and will be posted as soon as we have the information. 

As mentioned earlier, this GoFundMe will go to pay for John's funeral expenses and will hopefully help to give Jennifer some much needed financial peace of mind in the coming months, while she and the kids adjust to life without John. 

This page is being created by his cousin, Carla Proietti-Helmuth and 100% will be going directly to his wife and kids.
