It’s with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved Joseph Albert Barnoski III on July 11, 2025. Joey was so much more than a brother, son, friend — he was a light, a laugh, a protector, and a beautiful soul who made everyone feel like family.

If you knew Joey, you knew what it meant to be loved unconditionally. He had your back, no questions asked. He made you feel like you were never alone. He had a one-of-a-kind spark that could lift the whole room. He was funny, loyal, wild-hearted, and deeply caring.

Joey loved the Grateful Dead, going to shows, being out on the water fishing, snowboarding, spending time with his dog Koko, and hanging with his Pops and his tight circle of friends who were more like family. He was a hardworking member of the painters union, always chasing down work, always moving — he couldn't sit still for long. He was a go-getter and a hustler, always finding a way to get it done, no matter what.

As a kid, Joey was a proud Eagle Scout, a talented soccer player, and someone who found peace and joy in nature.

We are raising funds to cover the cost of Joey’s funeral and burial, including a casket and everything needed to give him a proper farewell. Joey will be laid to rest with his mother’s ashes and beside his father, who is already buried there. This is a devastating loss for our family, and any support means the world to us.
