Joey Wilson - Castro Valley Hall-Of-Famer

Hello, my name is Herbert Bennett (L), and I am raising funds on behalf of Sheri Wilson and her 2 adult children to help pay for all the funeral home services of Joey Wilson (R). I was so fortunate to meet Joey when I was 5-years old and we grew up as best friends over the years. Having paper routes together, playing little league, going to school together. Joey was the kindest and gentlest of all souls. Making sure that everyone around them had what they needed and were having a good time. His generosity was unparalleled. He was masterful at fixing anything, anywhere. His backyard was the neighborhood bicycle repair shop with Joey at the helm. He met Sheri in his 30's and went on to have 2 wonderful children Brandi & Jakob. He used his incredible skills and affable character to make himself a long career at Mills College in Oakland to take care of his family.

Sadly, Joey had developed several very challenging health issues the last 5 years and was unable to keep working, lowering his income dramatically. With his sudden passing his family is having a very hard time to take care of the sudden and unexpected expenses that come with difficult times like these. I know Joey would be helping anyone who was in this situation, and so I want to be here to represent that for him. His family needs over $2,200 for the funeral home services. $2,000 for a celebration of life service and another $1,750 to get them through this next month to get them back on their feet. That's $5,970 in total. Currently living check to check and the family car has also broken down. If you feel blessed in your life, please help support this family in their time of need.
