Joe Arnold Memorial Fund

On the afternoon of January 9th, 2015 the family and friends of Joe Arnold learned that he passed away suddenly at work from an apparent heart attack or aneurysm. Those of us that knew him have been left to grapple with how someone so full of life could be gone so soon and his Mother Connie and Stepfather Harry to grip with the grief of losing a Son.
As anyone who has lost a loved one knows there is much to be done while you are still grieving and expenses pile up fast. Joe let it be known that he did not want a big and fancy funeral if anything should happen to him but even with a simple cremation and memorial the costs add up. This has left Connie, who is disabled, and Harry struggling to cover the costs. Joe unfortunately did not have any life insurance. After talking to Connie, we have figured that $2700 should cover the cost of Joe’s cremation and memorial.
Joe has given so much of himself to his friends, he was our personal MacGyver. He worked on our cars fixing Air Conditioners, replacing spark plugs, changing brake pads and repairing car doors. He worked on our houses fixing leaky pipes, clearing clogged drains, repairing appliances and hauling our stuff around. To say nothing of all the good times we shared with Joe at game nights, parties, conventions and on road trips. We, as Joe’s friends, can give back to him by helping Connie and Harry defray the costs of his cremation and memorial.
I am issuing a change to us, Joe’s friends, I want to raise $2700 before Joe’s memorial on Saturday January 17th. I want us to be able to let Connie and Harry grieve without worrying about this money. I appeal to you to give whatever you can, every little bit helps. Also, please spread this page everywhere you can on Facebook and all social media. We need to get this to as many of Joe’s friends as possible. I realize that this is an ambitious goal but I know Joe’s friends can rise to the challenge!
