Joann was a loving wife and mother, lover of animals and a dedicated, smart and caring nurse of 30 years who showed compassion through her whole life. Her life was cut short on September 4, 2016 after a trying battle with cancer. She was 54.
In loving memory and honor of Joann, the family would like to donate to the Porter Hospice Foundation and The Right Step Inc. An equine therapy center in Littleton, Colorado.These two organizations truly tied in two of her passions; caring for people and the healing characteristics of time spent with horses.
There is no amount of money that can define how large of a heart my Mom had, but in memory of a woman who dedicated her work to caring for others, we would like to continue her legacy and give back to the organizations that meant the most to her.
This memorial is being set up on Joann's behalf by her husband, daughter and son. Donations will be divided equally between the two foundations. For more information on the two organizations of our choice please visit:
