Joanie, Not Just A Pony

Joanie, Not Just a Pony is a children's book with a special message. The book has been written by Tanja Kraus and beautifully illustrated by Deborah Hatley, and follows the story of Joanie, a pony who compares herself, and her abilities to George the Horse. Joanie doesn't think she has any special gifts until she meets TJ, a very curious dog, who points out that she has special abilities and gifts that George doesn't. The book sends a message to kids to find their own unique abilities, instead of comparing themselves to others.

This Go Fund Me platform has been opened to fund the publication of the book, via pre purchasing.  All books sold via this site will be shipped directly to the purchasers upon our receipt of the book.  We anticipate books to be shipping in the last week of November / first week of December, in time for Christmas.

Deb and I (Tanja) are passionate about the message this book sends to kids.  With unlimited ways our children can 'compare' themselves via social media, magazines and advertising, putting photos up to gain 'likes', it is easy for a child to feel as though they are not as 'good enough'.  This book helps children understand to look for their own uniqueness and celebrate it.

Your support of this book means that Deb and I can continue on with the next book in the series, all of which will contain a special message for kids, helping them navigate the issues they face today.

Any age child is going to love this book, with its ryhming script and bright and colourful illustrations.  Its also perfect for those 'horse mad' kids, as it is one of the few horse themed books of its kind.
