We will also be updating the group regularly throughout the day of the walk too, so be sure to follow!
Jo, 43, was a wife to Stevie and a mother of two young boys, Teddy (7) and Lennon (4)
She was the most beautiful both inside and out, she was caring, kind, honest most thoughtful person you could have ever met, she really was one of a kind.
On the 30th July 2023, Just 4 months after her diagnosis, Jo sadly lost her battle with bowel cancer
A Go fundme page was set up weeks before Jo passed away, the aim, to build a fund that could be used to ensure Jo's two young boys could live out all the dreams she had for them, whether it be a trip to Disney or sporting events and concerts the generosity of friends & family ensured that pot reached a massive £42,000.
Days after Jo passed, a few of us, including Jo's three sisters-in-law decided we would take on a 50k walk in her honour, the aim is to raise even more money for Teddy & Lennon's fund.
The 50k challenge team are;
Natalie (Stevie's Sister)
Kirsty (Stevie's Sister)
Emily (Stevie's Sister)
Alan (Stevie's Brother in Law)
Jodie (Stevie's Cousin)
Stacey (Stevie's Cousin)
Leeann (Stevie's Cousin)
The walk takes place on Saturday 9th September and is by far the BIGGEST challenge any of us have taken on. With an early start time of 7am, the team are not expected to get to the finish line until around 8/9pm that evening.
The money raised will all be added to the fund set up for Teddy & Lennon who really are the two most amazing little boys.
We thank you all in advance for your unbelievable generosity and support during what has been and continues to be a very tough and challenging time for the family.
Please ensure if you haven't already that you like and follow the Facebook page with all information and updates regarding the walk and other events in memory of Jo.
