Hello everyone. My name is Al Maldonado. I work at Metro North Railroad and I have had the privilage of having Jim Thibault as my partner at Walk Tower. Jim recently became ill with Pancritis and was hospitalized for a couple of weeks. Shortly after leaving the hospital he had to be readmitted due to a infection which to date is still recking havic. Jim spent another 2 weeks in the hospital and was sent home with bags attached to him to drain the infection. Consequently this has prevented Jim from returning to work. To date Jim has been out for about 6 weeks. He will most likly be out for months.  He has gone threw his sick time and vacation time. He applied for short term disability and was recently aproved but the amount is just not enough. He has a teenage daughter at home and is a single parent>
He does have medical insurance threw Metro North but the copays add up. Jim will be using any money he receives to pay for copayments, and day to day bills. The short term disability is just not enough to support his teenage daughter and himself.
