Jim Olsen Recovery GoFundMe

As many of you may know (or not know), one of the TAMs, Jim Olsen, was a victim of assault earlier this week while visiting a friend recovering from surgery in Seattle, WA.  Jim was out in Capitol Hill area when two unknown men approached and physically assaulted him, resulting in emergency transport to the nearest hospital for surgery; they also stole his wallet and phone (he is not available on Slack or email). The attack was unprovoked and we are thankful that Jim is OK - he is currently recovering in the ICU from neuro- and gastrointestinal surgeries at Harborview Hospital in Seattle.  

In an effort to help Jim with the financial stresses of medical bills, even with insurance, we have set up this GoFundMe to make this difficult time just a bit easier. We are currently trying to contact his family to see what we can do to help them get to Jim in Seattle (away from home).  We suspect Jim will have a phone again on Saturday or Sunday. 

Let us come together and donate to this cause to help someone who is not only our colleague, but our friend, Jim Olsen. And most importantly, let us all keep Jim in our thoughts and wish him a speedy, successful recovery!
