Celebrate Jim Davis A Memorial of Love, Fishing, and Camping
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kindred Spirits,
On June 23, 2025, our hearts shattered when Jim Davis, the soul of our family, was taken from us too soon. Jim was more than a devoted husband to Leitha, a father to Keith, Jerry, and Kristina, a stepfather to Karen, and a papa whose grandchildren were his world—he was our rock, our prankster, and our loudest cheerleader. His sudden passing left a void where his laughter once roared, but we feel his spirit in the rivers he fished, the stories he told, and the love he gave so fiercely. We’re gathering to honor him, and we need your help to make it happen.
Wallula Junction, where the Walla Walla and Columbia Rivers meet, was Jim’s sanctuary. As a boy, his dad took him fishing there, teaching him the art of a perfect cast and the joy of a catch—lessons Jim passed down to his own kids with the same passion. Those waters held his heart, where he’d spin wild tales, play pranks that had us laughing (and falling for his tricks every time), and share his love for the outdoors. With a mischievous grin, Jim was the king of jokes—hiding lures, convincing us the fish were “singing,” or using our gullibility to spark roars of laughter around the campfire.
At every sports game, his voice thundered the loudest, be it cheering, chanting or arguing with the coach. He was making sure they knew he was our biggest fan. And when life got tough, Jim was there—backing up his family with a strength that made us feel unstoppable.
To celebrate Jim’s life, we’re holding a memorial service on Saturday, September 27, 2025—near his birthday—at Wallula Junction, followed by fishing and camping under the stars he loved. We’ll laugh over his best pranks, share stories of his cheers echoing at games, release light-up fishing bobbers on the river to honor his fishing legacy, and cast lines in the place where his dad, and later Jim, made memories with his kids. This day will bring together the family and friends he cherished, celebrating the man who made every moment unforgettable.
Your donations will help us create a tribute as big as Jim’s heart:
If you could help with any of these items please contact leitha on face book messenger
Memorial Service:
Chairs, a canopy, and a table to display Jim's urn his fishing gear, and family photos to share tears, laughter, and memories.
Fishing and Camping:
Bait, rental gear, a portable toilet, and water so we can fish and camp in his favorite spot.
River Tribute:
Light-up fishing bobbers to float on the water, a glowing symbol of Jim’s love for Wallula Junction and the fishing tradition he shared across generations.
We’re aiming to raise $2,000 to make this day as vibrant as Jim’s cheers. Every dollar will help us gather at his beloved Wallula Junction, where we’ll feel his presence in every ripple and laugh. Even If your unable to donate please join us on September 27 to share a story, a chuckle over a prank, or a quiet moment by the river—
With your support, we’ll honor the man who cheered the loudest, loved the fiercest, and carried forward his dad’s fishing legacy at Wallula Junction. Thank you for helping us keep Jim’s light—and his pranks—alive forever.
With all our love and gratitude,
The Davis Family
