"Make Patti Great Again" with a NEW LIVER

Hi this is Rick & Sherri we are fundraising for our life long friend Jim Alles so he can support his love and our dear friend Patti Oberlin in her quest to obtain a liver transplant. For the last year Patti has found it difficult to personally take care of herself much less get to the beauty salon for her clients. After having medical tests ran to find the reason she was struggling it was determined her liver was failing. She has been admitted into Parkview six times in the last year. In the last month her situation has continued to decline and Parkview referred her to IU Medical Hospital for evaluation for a liver transplant. Jim took Patti to Indy on May 17th for the initial evaluation (at which time Patti was physically and cognitively struggling) literally the minute they arrived home (Jim hadn't even gotten in the house) his cell phone rang and it was IU Hospital saying they had some of Patti's test back and Patti needed to be immediately admitted into a hospital. Jim then turned around and drove Patti to Parkview for admittance, again. By the end of the following day IU had Patti transported back to Indianapolis. Her situation has continued to decline and is now critical. IU has fast tracked Patti's testing (which is extensive) in order to determine if she is strong enough today to handle a transplant. Jim has been and is by Patti's side taking care of her and seeing that she receives the best care possible. Jim is on a fixed income as many of us are and obviously Patti is unable to work, the expenses for his long term hotel stays, eating out, trips back and forth and knowing unexpected healthcare expenses will continue are a concern .  Expenses should NOT be what they are concerned about at this time.

Maybe we all could give up a night or two out and help a family member, friend, hairdresser or just a VERY KIND, SOFT, LOVING SOUL have her love able to stay by her side to support emotionally, and continue his watchful eye over her medical staff. If unable to support financially at this time maybe you would consider sharing this fundraiser.
