Like many, my father and his pup have been unfortunately displaced by the Camp Fire. Without a home to go back to, he's currently shacked up in an RV with his dog Babe. It's not a forever option for him though, and to make things worse, his disability has made the living situation harder and harder each day. His back and legs aren't what they used to be after many surgeries to try to repair the damage he unknowingly lived with most of his life from a condition called Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome. He's living off of a very slim disability check that barely covers bills, and using a credit card to cover all payments doesn't solve any problems, especially now with the uncertainty of what comes next.
I'm hoping to help him get back on his feet and into a more stable place along with an actual bed that won't leave him aching as badly on the daily. Along with food for him and his dog, there are plenty of everyday things that he is without and won't be able to have for the foreseeable future. While I can look to places locally to get him some clothes, he will still need to get things like shoes modified for him.
Thank you for taking the time to read and even if you can't help, please share. My father needs our help, and it breaks my heart that I can't fix everything for him myself. I'm not sure what amount will really get it going for him, but anything helps.
