Hi everyone, I am writing this for my co-worker- more importantly my friend Jill Norton. I have worked with Jill for the past 3 years in Ipswich MA and I need to tell you she is an amazing, witty, beautiful soul. Over the last month or so Jill has been feeling a bit "off". She chalked it up to panic attacks or anxiety and brushed it off. Within the last year she has had to go out and make it on her own after seperating from her husband, whom she has knows since childhood. She had just settled into her apartment and was forging her way. On Thursday she phoned me to tell me she was going to the doctors because when she walked her dog that morning and she felt weak on her left side and fell. That afternoon Jill told me she had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. She is floored. Because of the location of the tumor a few experts would not even think about performing surgery on her, luckily she did find a doctor at Tufts that will schedule the surgery within 2-4 weeks. She is staying with a friend as she can not be alone and is now using a walker to aid her. Her son lives out of state and her daughter is away at her first year of college. She has been seperated from her pets and is just trying to absorb what is happening to her. Her livelyhood was driving students for her local town but of course now she will not be able to drive. We are looking to cover the cost of her apartment and anything else that we can in the span of the next 6 months until she can regain her strength. She has a long battle with surgery and rehabilitation so anything that you can spare would be amazing. Something like this can happen to anyone and anytime. We can never take life for granted. Thanks for reading Jill's story. <3
