Seasons Changing..
Leaves are changing. S'mores and bonfires every weekend. Pumpkin spice everything! Seasons are changing. Amazing how fast the summer flew by. In fact, this past summer I had the incredible opportunity to serve along side 35+ leaders of itown church through the Itown Church Leadership Academy. For ten weeks, we worked out together strenthening our bodies; ate together making healthy and nutricious decisions; and most importantly prayed, worshiped and served together. We all served beyond our capacities and were stretched further than we could ever imagine. We were challenged physically, mentally and spiritually. This incredible spiritual and leadership opportunity provided us with learning the tools of leadership in a ministry setting and serving to the best of our abilities. I am so thankful for the strenthening and preperation ITLA has given me. It has paved the way for the upcoming season that I am about to embark upon.
September 2015, I have been selected to itown Church's full time Leadership Academy (ITLA)! During the 1 and a half years of ministry college committment, I will have the special opportunity to grow and develop in my walk with Christ, grow as a leader and pursue the purpose that God has given me! At the end of my two years in school, I will receive a Certificate of Christian Ministry. As a full time student, I will be challenged to grow spirtually, academcally and physically. The ultimate goal for ITLA is to prepare and deploy leaders and ambassadors for Christ into full-time ministry positions across the country! I'm thinking, "This can't be me?!" But God has called me and here I am with Open arms-ready and willing to do His will!
I am first of all so humbled and blessed to be pursuing the calling that God has instilled upon me. I cannot tell you how much my heart soars for the opportunity to saving thousands of lives in the near future. I would like to invite you to share in this excitement with me!
I started a fundraiser on GoFundMe to raise the funding that I need for ministry school. The complete tuition cost for the year and a half tuition is $9,000. This tuition will cover all the tuition expenses and any related ministry fees. In addition to tuition, I will be fundraising for my living expenses as well. My goal is to continue to fundraise for my tuition, living expenses and maintain a part time job as long as it does not intetere with school. I would also welcome you to consider being a part of my prayer team. Prayer is so important and welcome any prayer during this special time in my life. It's been my dream to attend ministry school and serve others and I hope that you will consider being part of this opportunity with me. Most importantly, I would love for you to join me in prayer. The power of prayer should not be underestimated! James 5: 16-18 declares,.."The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops."
And honestly: it's not about the money. If you feel pressured to give, please please don't give here. Give it to someone/something/organization that you have a desire/passion to give.There has never been a time that God has not provided for me. Without God, funding this is impossible. But, With God: all things are possible.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life and helping me accomplish a higher calling! Something greater beyond me.
