Hello, my name Is Yasniel Gonzalez, I'm a Baal Teshuva coming from a single parent family where I had no prior Jewish education. Most of my schooling was in secular schools in which I managed to graduate a year before my actual graduation date, which allowed me to focus on my yiddishkeit.

Two summers I moved to my aunt's house in Jersey to go to college, and with my grades I was able to get most of my tuition paid for through financial aid. The rest I tried to raise funds by finding a job, but that did not work out well because of my age. Most companies are hesitant to hire 17 year-olds. At the moment, I didn't realize G-d was paving the way. I became impatient and asked my rabbi if there was any opportunity he knew of, then he suggested I try out yeshiva for at least a semester or two. But the thing about baal t'shuva's is their thirst for Torah, once they come near it, it is nearly impossible to sever that connection. So I decided to do my first year.

This is what happened next...

I got accepted to Rabbinical College of America's Program: Tiferes Bachurim as a full time student, but at the same time still doing college online.

Now I had to come up with the tuition for the Yeshiva. I was able to pay for some, and my mom paid for some, however, I can no longer continue to pay the tuition for the year, and that is why I made this fund raiser to get the help of the Jewish community to raise the much needed funds to pay for my yiddishkeit. Without this help I can't study Torah, and without Torah was purpose do I have?
