Jeune violiniste / Young violinist needs a violin

Bonjour, je m’appelle Annabelle Morrison. J’ai tout juste 15 ans et je suis violoniste. Je joue du violon depuis 7 ans. J’ai fréquenté l’école primaire Le Plateau ou j’ai appris les bases de la musique et je suis présentement en secondaire trois à l’école Joseph-François Perreault dans le programme Arts-Études, option musique. Cette année, je fais partie de l’orchestre symphonique de secondaire 4 et 5 de l’école. J’adore l’orchestre et c’est cette expérience qui m’a convaincue que jamais je ne pourrai me passer de la musique. Mes parents m’ont acheté mon premier violon alors que j’étais en 6e année. Ayant mon propre violon, j’ai pu m’améliorer grandement. Mais voilà que j’ai atteint un niveau qui dépasse les capacités de mon premier violon et j’ai besoin d’en acheter un autre qui saura m’amener jusqu’à mes premières années universitaires en musique. J’ai trouvé l’instrument qu’il me faut, j’ai l’argent pour le boitier et l’archet, il me faut maintenant cumuler 8 000$ pour le violon. Il s’agit d’un violon fait par deux jeunes luthiers québécois et prometteurs qui sauront m’assurer l’entretien de mon instrument à vie! J’ai vraiment besoin de cet instrument pour avancer davantage et j’apprécierais grandement tout aide financière pour l’achat du violon.

 

Hi, my name is Annabelle Morrison. I just turned 15 and I am a violinist. I have been playing violin since the age of seven. I attended an elementary school called Le Plateau in Montreal where I had the opportunity to learn the basics in music and violin. I am now in secondary three at Joseph-François Perreault in the music program. This year I was asked to join the school’s symphonic orchestra that is normally for students in secondary four and five. I love the orchestra and this experience really convinced me that I could never do without music. My parents bought me my first violin in 6th grade. Having my own violin allowed me to progress greatly. Now I have achieved a level that surpasses my violin’s capacity. I need to buy another violin that will take me through my first years at university in music. I have now found that instrument. I have the money to buy the box and the bow, I now need 8000$ to buy the violin. It’s a violin that was made by two young Quebec luthiers who will insure it’s maintenance for life. I really need this instrument to progress and I would be grateful for any donations that you could help me with for its purchase.
