Covid-19 Funeral Relief for a Loving Man
Donation protected
Towards the end of March 2020, Jesus "Jay" Wong started to experience symptoms he never felt before. On his birthday, April 2nd, he was taken to the hospital due to severe breathing issues. He tested positive for Covid-19, treated for symptoms of pneumonia and was placed on a ventilator. Shortly after midnight on April 24th, he lost his life due to complications from the infection. This hard working man fought very hard and so long to get a chance to see his friends and family again.
He was a loving grandfather, husband, father, uncle, brother, and son. His life was to serve and provide for the well-being of others. He birthed and nurtured a restaurant in the heart of New York for over 30 years. He loved and was passionate to serve the community, cook his favorite ingredients, and drive around town only to share warm experiences. Towards the end of his career, his wife was diagnosed with mental illnesses and dedicated the remainder of his life taking care of her.
He leaves behind 3 grandchildren, 2 daughters, son, 2 brothers and his mother of 88 years. It was a shock to his community for such a sweet, humble, and innocent soul to be taken away. Everyone who got the chance to be around him during his life will never forget his compassionate warm spirit.
These funds will used for the burial and memorial for our family during these harsh economic times. The funeral will be on May 20th when funds will be expected. He will be laid to rest near his father.
In these dark, sad and troubling times, we understand many are going through similar hardships. We are thankful for any support that can be provided to the Wong and Santana families for his funeral.
