On the morning of Thursday, February 5th, My Dad, Jesus Rodriguez, faced the fight of his life when he suffered a massive heart attack, a “widowmaker”, that stopped his heart and changed everything in an instant. Thanks to the quick thinking and courage of my Mom, who performed CPR guided by the 911 operator, and the Heroic efforts of Mapleton City Police, Fire and EMS, my Dad was brought back from the brink. He was rushed to Utah Valley Hospital, where a team of Incredible doctors and nurses saved him with quintuple bypass surgery. Jesus is still in the hospital and is just beginning a long and difficult recovery.

My Dad is the heart ❤️of our family and a treasured member of the community. A loving husband to our mom Eneyra, a devoted father to five kids, and a proud grandfather to six beautiful granddaughters. He’s the man who’s always been there: volunteering at the Utah Food Bank, United Way, and Centro Hispano. Training the next generation of Leaders (National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), Timberline, Venturing, Boy Scouts). Serving his church with deep faith, and helping those around him whenever he could. Years ago he was recognized with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, that's how amazing my Dad is!

Now, after this life-changing event, he’s facing a long and difficult recovery. Our family is rallying around him, but the weight of medical bills, everyday living expenses, and the cost of being there for each other during this time is overwhelming. Dad’s self-employed business has paused, and with him unable to work for the foreseeable future, the financial worry grows every day.

We’re asking for your support not just for the costs, but to give my Dad the peace of mind to focus on healing. Every dollar raised will help cover bills, groceries, travel for family coming to be with us, and the things we need to keep the household and business running while he recovers.
