Thank you for taking the time to listen to my story. My name is Jess and I am a single homeschooling, work from home, mother of 6!

And we are currently living abroad in Tanzania during the rainy season.

Recently, I gave birth (April) to my youngest child, and while welcoming a new life into our family should be a time of joy, we have been facing unexpected and daunting challenges.

Shorty after giving birth rainy season started and I began to notice disturbing symptoms that I and my children experienced the last rainy season—rashes on our skin, and respiratory issues affecting myself and my children. After investigation, it became clear that our home had a mold problem.

Mold is not just an inconvenience; it poses serious health risks, especially to my newborn and other young children.

Despite bringing this to the attention of my landlord, they refused to properly address the issue, leaving us in an unsafe living environment.

As a single breastfeeding mom with a newborn, postpartum with six children, the financial burden of an unexpected move is overwhelming

I have to get back to work, homeschool, and not only is this inconvenience affecting our flow and health, I cannot afford to cover the costs of a rental deposit, moving expenses, and unexpected medical costs that have begun since experiencing these symptoms..

Additionally, I need to ensure that our next home is safe, which requires a professional inspection—another expense I cannot manage alone.
