Facial Reconstruction Needed After Brutal Assault

After 3 hard hits to my right arm and wrist held up in defense - I recall the feeling and sound of my bones cracking as I counted 7 hard hits of cold steel to the right side of my face and skull. Once I went down I was stomped into the concrete, nearly to death. 

 

Several nasal and maxillofacial bones on my right side are broken. My sinus has collapsed and my orbital bones are all in fragments. I have skull fractures behind my ear and was still locating lacerations in my hair 3 days after the attack, that the trauma team did not find while I was being surgically repaired. My right eye was damaged but has healed up well in the last month. There was massive blunt trauma soft tissue damage to my right arm, shoulder, wrist and I had distinct shoe-print shaped bruises throughout. 

This attack and attempt on my life was not isolated or random. It was a hit, ordered by a female former business partner. The attacker spoke to me while he was attempting to end my life - and I identified him as her boyfriend. 

 

3 days before the attack, the same woman's husband - not her boyfriend who assaulted me, came to my Care Home to tell me she was openly speaking to everyone about her plans to kill my child's father to hurt me. 

 

On the morning of the assault, my son's father had left for work around 430am and I had gone outside to move my vehicle into the driveway for my patients appointments later in the day. That is when I saw the man running toward me, masked, with a gun. Looking back through weeks of camera footage, we had been stalked for days...the assailant knew our movements. 

Anger and jealousy motivated this attack. I did not hurt or steal or snitch or commit any crime against the woman who set me up to be attacked, or had it gone as intended, murdered. 

 

In late July I connected with a young woman who also ran a Care Home. At the time, the partnership seemed sensible. However, by the fourth month into the partnership - I realized that she was shady in business practices, had odd patterns, made questionable moves with revenue funds, and I observed unacceptable actions by the business partner and her associates - as such, I was prompted to separate and sever ties.

I recognized her erratic and threatening behaviors prior to the attack, prompting my decision to split at the end of November. Once I sharply ended the business relationship - my self and my patients were no longer an easy source of money for her.

 

Immediately after I ended the business partnership, the slanderous gossip and threats started. She threatened my staff to the point where they stopped coming to work in fear for the safety of their families. The woman overstepped completely, even going as far as to make false allegations against me and my business to Adult Protective Services, local Police, and even the FBI. I immediately began working with all the above agencies and I have been completely cleared of any wrongdoings. 

 

As you can imagine, there is more to the story...but the important part is that I take pride in my work, the integrity of my business and professional reputation is paramount to any personal quarrels. My priority is to serve and protect my family and the patients I personally care for through my non-profit. I am grateful to be alive to continue doing the work that I love. I would like to be able to restore my ability to recognize myself in the mirror. I will need support to accomplish this.

I need help to pay for my facial reconstruction. My surgeon says that it is imperative to move quickly to reset the facial bones to avoid being permanently disfigured. My ORIGINAL surgery date was Friday 21st of January, but the first surgeon cancelled me becausee I couldnt get the 7k together in time. This felt like disregard and was a major hit to my psychological state - but I am hopeful and determined to keep pushing to secure funds for the needed surgical intervention!

 

The surgical team that I am working with now in the Medical Center will allow me to make payments over time! So grateful! 

 

It is still urgent, as I am told that the bones will set and my right side face will be sunken in and permanently disfigured due to the lumps and bumps of the bones. Since I had to wait so long for surgery, the process of refracturing and resetting the bones does come with more risk of permanent damage to my eye and facial structure.
