Hey there friends and family!
As many of you know, each of my older brothers attended St. John's Military School for high school. My parents had intended to send all three of my siblings and myself to a similarly structured school, unfortunately SJMS was an all male school.
My dream is to attend the United States Naval academy in Annapolis, Maryland upon graduating Flagstaff High school in 2018. To help prepare myself and seek opportunites to grow and improve for acceptance to the academy I have sought out multiple youth leadership opportunities in Washington DC (which I completed over spring break) and in Birmingham, Alabama.
The latter of those two options is a military based summer camp called "Camp Liberty".
Camp Liberty offers a two week basic training preparation course that allows me to live within a military setting, improving my fitness with everyday intense training, gain group leadership skills while working with other motivated students from around the country to build teamwork skills and the ability to rely on others.
Unfortunately, I stumbled upon the opportunity last minute. However, there are only two weeks until the first day, not allowing me adequate time to gather funds.
I need your help to seize this fantastic opportunity for my future!!
