My Fiji Mission Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jessica Cairns, thank you so much for visiting my page! :D I am a very eager Year 13 student from Living Hope Church going on a short term missions trip to Fiji in June for a month. This is my very first mission's trip, let alone my first overseas trip, and so I am very excited about what God is going to do in me and through me.
The year 13 mission is unique because I will be partnering along with 100 other students alongside fellow Fijian brothers and sisters in gospel ministry. This is a rare, once-in-a-lifetime privilege. The kind of practical work that I will be doing in Fiji involves:
-Partnering with local Fijian churches in the ongoing work, just to name a few, this involves teaching and running scripture programs in schools, visiting prisons, women's homes, schools and universities, and bringing the gospel to remote villages (door knocking),
-Supporting, training and encouraging Fijian locals
-Contributing to God's kingdom by spreading His gospel to all nations.
-Developing relationships with Fijians in the churches and experiencing life from a different perspective.
As you may have also heard Fiji has gone through a Tropical Cyclone at the beginning of this year and many villages have been affected. This means a loss of food, water, and all essential resources. Things that we take for granted. It is my goal to bring hope to the Fijians, and in order for me to be able to do this, I will need your support.
I would greatly appreciate your support for food, airfare, travel insurance, and travelling within Fiji. Your small contribution can help me reach my goal of $2400 by June.
This means so much to me, that I can sacrifice my time and be effective for God's Kingdom, I am practically living out the great commision.
I would very much appreciate if you could pray that I will not only go to serve, but also learn from the locals. That I will be bold and God will be able to use me in ways that I never thought possible.
Your donation will not be wasted, it is a blessing not only to me but also to our brothers and sisters in Fiji. God bless you. :D
