Hi Friend,

My name is Jeremy Owen. I am twenty-two years old and I am studying to be a graphic designer. I thank God for the many blessings in my life despite the fact that I was born with cerebral palsy. Because I am unable to walk, I use an electric wheelchair to get around at home, church, school and when I hang out with my friends.

Last Monday night, on the way to my birthday party, my wheelchair van hit a piece of metal that was on the road. It caused us to have an accident and wrecked my van. I am thankful that no one was hurt, but my van was the only way I had to get around. My wheelchair is too big and heavy to fit in a regular car. 

A new wheelchair van is far more expensive than a regular van and the insurance is not even going to give us enough money for a down payment to buy a new one. I don't have a job yet because I am still in college. Anything you can donate is a blessing and I pray God will bless you in return. Even a dollar will help me get to my goal. If I am blessed enough to raise more money than I need, I will donate the rest to others with special needs like me who find themselves in need of a helping hand.
