Help Jeremiah beat cancer

Donation protected
In June of 2023 my brother, Jeremiah Phillips, was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia known as MPAL Leukemia (also known as Mixed Lineage Leukemia). The diagnosis came as a shock. He’s always prioritized his health and motivated those around him to care about their fitness and health.

Jeremiah is full of life and love. He has seen a lot of the bad in this world, yet he sees the best in others, is kind, and shares his joy in life with those around him, even now.

Jeremiah is a loving and devoted husband to his wife Maegen. Whenever she's been lonely, sad, or worried, he’s always been there for her. He makes her laugh. So often they are on the same wavelength they can predict what the other is going to say. They are each other's world and she could never imagine a day without him.

Jeremiah is selfless and has an attitude of service. Over the years he has helped so many people from fixing a roof, and a gutter, designing and building a deck on my first home (brother of the year!), to volunteering to help teens, and countless others. He donates his own time, skill, and money to others without seeking or needing recognition. Just before the cancer diagnosis, he signed up to volunteer at the local pet shelter because, unfortunately, he had a lot of free time due to being laid off because of the writer's strike.

I have thousands of memories of time spent growing up with Jeremiah. He's the purest soul I have ever known. He's been there for me when I didn't deserve it. He's loved me unconditionally through mistakes and failures. He's the type of person who deserves some help in a time like this.

He is currently being cared for in UNMH Oncology by a great team of nurses and doctors. They expect a 6-week stay for inpatient chemo therapy including three types of chemo. After chemo, if a donor match is found he will be transferred out of state for a bone marrow transplant. The doctors said it could be about three months. This is going to be a very long hard battle with many costs, and after insurance, programs, and foundations, costs remain as the bills and expenses continue to come.

We are asking, if you are able, to help us ease the financial burden for Jeremiah and Maegen by making a donation and/or sharing this with others who have had the opportunity to know Jeremiah to help get the word out. All donations will go directly to Jeremiah and Maegen for use on medical bills, further treatments, and the costs associated with being out of state for several months for the transplant
