In Memory of Jennifer Ryan

On Sunday March 6th, 2016 Jennifer Ryan passed away. At 53, I expected my mother to live to see my brother and I succeed and witness the milestones of our lives and the lives of her friends. Damek and I are now faced with grieving her loss and attempting to quickly pick up where she left off with her personal affairs at her rented apartment.
This GoFundMe was not made to ask for money. I was asked to make this page so that distant friends would have the ability to give and give in a way they saw appropriate. Many people have already donated generously, which I and my family are deeply appreciative of. Our sincerest gratitude to all who have given their time, love, energy, and effort into making the last few months of my mothers life meaningful.
Despite telling my mother I would be with her immediately before her death, after spending the weekend with her I was forced to leave to catch a 4pm ferry and return to my New York job. Within minutes of returning to my boarding house in New York around 7:30, my brother contacted me of her death.
Any donations made will be put towards any outstanding debt she has, transportation, moving truck, and towards giving me and my brother the time in her apartment to move everything out.
I cannot thank her friends and larger community enough for the generosity already exhibited. Thank you to all who spent time with her over the phone, in the hospital and in hospice and gave her a reason to laugh and smile.
