Hope for Jennifer Stone Dunning

Jennifer Stone Dunning was taken to Deconess Hospital in Oklahoma City on April 20th, 2016 at 6 PM and later sent to St. Anthony's ER around 9 PM that night. She went in for what was thought to be severe migraines; however, she was experiencing loss of feeling in parts of her body. They soon discovered subdural bleeding in her brain later that night. They did a CT scan but needed an MRI to validate if there is a possible tumor. The next day April 21st 2016 around 6 p.m. the results from the CT and MRI came in, it was a confirmed there was a 2 centimeters by 11 centimeters long tumor on the back right part of her brain but likely benign.  Due to the "fried egg" shape the mass has taken, it is a serious surgery that will involve both the steady hands of an expert neuro surgeon and the hands of god.

Jennifer is the embodiment of one of the strongest and most intelligent women in our day and time.  She was accepted into OU's highly selective and prestigous PA program in 2014 and since then has distinguished herself through various scholarships, awards, and leadership roles both academic and extracurricular.  She is always concerned for others and enjoys donating her time through many medical clinics around the metro area, helping build housing through Habitat for Humanity, city wide cleanups, fighting hunger through food drives, and being active in as much as she possibly can around her campus at OUHSC.  She is a leader in so many ways through campus involvement and helps standout as an amazing ambassador for her class, school, and profession.

Her goals in life include helping others around her using her medical experience and knowledge as the median in which to do so.  Interestingly enough, she actually is interested in the Neurology field, epilepsy, and studing the brain as a whole (one of the still great unknowns in the medical field).  She takes her training and experience in the class and in the field extremely serious largely due to personal life experiences and soaks up every bit of knowledge/learning she can (she even considers this most recent hospitilization as a learning experience to help her better connect with her patients once she is practicing).  Once practicing for several years, she wants to also become a Professor of Anatomy and eventually be part of the Clinton Global Initiative to where she can help as many people as she can in her lifetime.

When she is not studying to become the best PA she can be for her future patients, she enjoys reading, gardening, donating her time for good causes, listening to music, playing with her two adopted doggies (Buffy and Klaus), and hanging out with her best friend and husband Brian.

We ask that you consider donation to such a great cause not only on the basis of how amazing Jennifer is, but also for all of the good she has brought to this world and all of the good that she may be allowed to bring to the future!  Our generation will truly benefit a million times over by her reaching her full potential in years to come and helping out the world in the way she knows best.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration for this cause.
